Chris was an extremely responsive host with a cabin that was accommodating and nice. View off the back porch was extremely beautiful. Thank you Chris for a nice stay.
I can’t speak highly enough about our experience in this home. The cabin was beautifully decorated and well maintained. We had tons of room for all ages with plenty of storage in the bedrooms and kitchen. The deck, hot tub, and backyard were clean, comfortable, and safe. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. There are beautiful trails and parks right next door. One of our party loved taking early morning runs down to the dam. The view is immaculate from the back deck. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks which can be launched right from the yard and roasting smores around the fire pit. The location is wonderful if you plan to visit Branson. Between 20-30 minutes to most attractions, it was close enough to do many activities but secluded enough for quiet evenings and relaxation. The town of Forsyth had everything we required with grocery stores and general stores only a few minutes from the cabin. Our host was super responsive and made sure we had all the relevant information well in advance. The cabin was well stocked with the necessities and even a few things we had forgotten to bring which made traveling with our little kids much less stressful. The cleaning checklist was also extremely reasonable for checking out. Overall, I would highly recommend this property and host. Our whole family enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and comfortable location. Many thanks to our generous host!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The scenery was beautiful, with plenty of trees and a lovely lake that made for a peaceful and relaxing setting. We especially appreciated having access to the kayaks and enjoyed spending time on the water. The house was comfortable, spacious, and provided plenty of room for everyone to relax. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway, and we would gladly stay here again.
Where do I begin?! This place is perfect! There are other houses surrounding this property, but you quickly forget. It feels secluded, private, and oh so peaceful!! The house itself is great - lots of room and well maintained. There were only two of us so we had ample space to spread out and relax. The beds were soft and inviting. The kitchen/dining area is huge! So great if you have a large group. We spent a great deal of time outside and that didn't disappoint either! Kayaking was wonderful and we saw so many animals - adult and baby ducks, adult and baby geese, a few water snakes, river otters playing and splashing around, and turtles....so many turtles!!! In the evenings, we enjoyed sitting around the campfire and looking up at the stars. I HIGHLY recommend this property!!!
Everything was just right. I really enjoyed the time staying at Dogwood Lodge. Perfect location compared to the other cabins in the area. Very quiet and private.

Great place to relax and enjoy the views. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee while the sun comes up was fantastic. If you’re looking to be off the beaten path but close enough to get into town this is a great option.
This place has been one of the best spots we’ve stayed at. It offers a stunning view of the lakefront, and all the amenities provided are amazing. Overall, it’s truly a top-notch place to stay. Once again, thank you, Chris. This has been a wonderful experience, and I absolutely loved it. I’d definitely love to come back again!
The cabin was close to Branson. The drive there was easy. The cabin was very clean, had a great layout and had everything we needed. The large back yard leading to the lake was absolutely beautiful. The hot tub on the back porch was the cherry on top! We can’t wait to go back!
The cabin was very nice and clean. The view is amazing! It was nice to be out of the city but a short drive away. Chris was great to work with and always responsive with any questions I had.
We visited for a family getaway. The 5 of us stayed comfortably! the view of the lake was wonderful and very peaceful setting. The hot tub was a plus! Perfect location for relaxation yet close enough to Branson for activities if we wanted. The interior was clean and comfortable. Chris was a great host with clear communication.
Chris was great to communicate with and provided extra info that was helpful to our trip. The docks and swim pool are a very short walk. The house was nicely equipped and comfortable.

The home was exactly as described—beautiful, comfortable, and stocked with everything we could possibly need for all 13 of us! One of our favorite parts was the connection to the resort and having access to all the included amenities, which made the experience even more special. The warm hospitality and attention to detail helped create wonderful memories for our family. Very nice cabin with awesome view of the lake. We had a group of 6 and everyone had their own bed and bathroom which made it very convenient. Everything we needed and more was provided in the cabin. We had a great time and definitely recommend this cabin to all. Silver Dollar City, the Top of the Rock, and the pontoon rental from the Port of Kimberling were the highlights of our trip. Plenty of things to do and places to eat nearby. Host was very friendly and responsive.
Our party of 10 had a great week long stay! The house was just as pictured, very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make a couple of meals in. They even had an air fryer and crock pot. Chris was the best host with great communication and quick to respond when we needed. The views from the patio and deck were picture perfect! We enjoyed the hot tub and a couple nights hanging out around the fire pit. It was a great ending to 2025! We would love to go back someday!!
We had a great time at Chris’s place!! Lots of amenities and things to do at the house. Being right across the street from the pools was great for us. Having 2 pickle ball courts was awesome! We were able to play every time we wanted. The TV outside in the patio was nice. Chris was super responsive every time we needed him. There was an issue with the dryer and someone came to fix it right away!! Lots of useful details throughout the house: snacks, first aid kit, toiletries, beach towels, games, incredibly well stocked kitchen, etc. Great vacation overall!! Thank you Chris!
We had a fantastic stay at Chris’s beautiful cabin in Branson! The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had more than enough space for our family to relax and enjoy our time together. The communication throughout the entire process was excellent—Chris was responsive, helpful, and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which were a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring Branson. The cabin was comfortable, well-equipped, and truly felt like a home away from home. Timberline Retreat

Thirteen of us stayed at Chris’s for a multi-generational family trip. The house spacious with plenty of privacy inside and out, and there are so many activities that kids of all ages (2 - 15) were happy the whole time. The location is extremely quiet and peaceful, but convenient to Asheville, the airport, Pisgah national forest, and beyond. Chris was very proactive with all communications, and provided a wealth of information and suggestions on restaurants/hikes/activities. Thanks!
We had a group of 18 and we just absolutely loved our stay here! There was plenty of space for all of us and everyone was able to sleep comfortably. They truly thought of everything in this house making sure guests don’t need for anything! We made great use of the amenities like the game room, hot tub, pool and outdoor seating. We even had a lovely bonfire one night and hung out in the hammocks. Truly a beautiful home. We would absolutely recommend!
The stay at Timberland Retreat was wonderful! Chris was very helpful and responded quickly when we had need for him. We were there for our family reunion and every single person enjoyed their stay immensely. Our group spanned four generations and there was something for every age group. The kids enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub and game room while the older generation enjoyed relaxing by the gas fire pit on the screened-in porch. The home was welcoming and felt like a home away from home.
I rarely leave reviews, but the Timberline retreat was a truly special home away from home. Chris and team were exceptional hosts and we could not speak more highly of there home, attentiveness, and care in curating the perfect place to run your getaway to Asheville out of.

Emberwood Chalet

This was a beautiful, comfortable property with a well-thought-out design for maximum entertainment and coziness. The check-in and check-out processes were super smooth, and the location is fantastic for driving around Mt. Hood. They even left little amenities like a coffee station with to-go cups, small deodorants, sunscreen, and bug spray in case you forgot anything! Also, the beds were super comfortable! My friends and I had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again!
If you’ve got a special event to celebrate this so the place to stay! Lots of space for all your guests and not to mention everything you could want to entertain guests! The sauna and hot tub were a highlight especially with an epic view of the surround Forrest and creek. I will be recommending this Airbnb to friends and family for future gatherings!
This place is absolutely amazing and the host is the most responsive, kind, and helpful person I've come acrossed at my many stays acrossed the United States. We will be returning, there is no doubt about that.
Wow, this Airbnb stands out!! Beyond the beautiful aesthetic of the entire property, there were many areas where the hosts went above and beyond, for example the fully stocked coffee bar, extra toiletries, snacks, and wide variety of kitchen appliances. I highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed.
This place is amazing! So many great things added for our family to enjoy ourselves, like the games, coffee bar, and beautiful outdoor space. Chris was wonderful and offered an entire guidebook to help us navigate the house and surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again, can’t wait to go back!
The pictures don't do this place justice and I was surprised when we arrived how loud the sound of the river was, it was amazing. We hosted a retreat of 12 and I knew there would be a lot of small group discussions and debriefs and this space has a ton of small spaces where you can gather in either incredible beauty outside or comfy spots inside. I would definitely return here with any group and the hosts are incredibly helpful and responsive. They even have an app and all sorts of video instructions.
Our stay heart was to honor a friend who had passed way and the peaceful surrounding made it very special. There was lots to do to made it a bit easier to keep our smile on our face for him. We are all very thankful for the warmth of this home and could feel our friends all around us enjoying the coming together of friends for him. High recommend staying in this magical space.
